Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. This blog is dedicated to the shell mounds (sometimes called middens) of the Jomon period in Japan. I will focus on what these mounds can tell us about the lifestyles carried by the Jomon people who are linked to these sites and hopefully paint a bigger picture of the Jomon culture as a whole.
